Responsible for Violations

Please see the noise ordinance below. You are responsible to make sure your group does not violate any of the noise ordinance restrictions. It is somewhat restrictive as it is written at 100 feet from the source and 10 pm to 7 am every night is quiet period. Please read it carefully. You are responsible for your guests and maintaining the quiet period. Marshals responding to noise complaints may or may not issue you a warning before issuing you a citation. Any citations written will be the responsibility of the renters and guests. Rental deposit will be forfeited and you may be expelled from the property.

Also, if the property manager or owner is called to come out because of noise or other violations, your deposit may also be forfeited. This is a residential neighborhood and there are kids living right next door. Please refrain from using foul language outside and anywhere near the fence. Please use common courtesy and treat our neighbors as you would want to be treated! Repeated violations of these common courtesy rules could result in expulsion from the property. We will not let our business license be taken away or our neighbors be harmed or bothered while renting our house. Please extend kindness to our neighbors. Say hello to them.

Noise Ordinance

Hall County Code Ordinance 8.80.010 Loud Noise Prohibited
It shall be unlawful for any person to make, continue or cause to be made or continued any loud, unnecessary or unusual sound or noise which unreasonably annoys, disturbs, injures or endangers the comfort, repose, health, peace or safety of others in Hall County, Georgia, and which is audible to a person of normal hearing ability more than 100 feet from the point of origin of this sound or noise.

Things to Consider

  • Please remember you are in a residential neighborhood and there are neighbors right next door. All loud noises must be stopped by 10 pm, including loud talking, yelling, music, loud hot tub conversations, etc.
  • Because of the layout of the property, noise travels very easily and after a few drinks, most people don’t realize how loud they can get. Some people don’t realize how loud they can get without any drinks at all.
  • A great rule of thumb if you are unsure if you are being too loud is to go inside and shut the doors!
  • All other hours outside of 10 pm – 7 am, you still must follow the noise ordinance, which is measured by 100 feet from the source and “unreasonably annoys, disturbs, or injures or endangers the comfort of…”.
  • Please refrain from using profanity in earshot of the neighbors. If you must use profanity, consider using sign
    language.
  • Please use common courtesy so our neighbors will not be disturbed. Any noise ordinance violations and fines will be the responsibility of the renters and guests. Infractions will include loss of deposit and being asked to leave the grounds.
